Engineering-led development in a proven Texas oil fairway
Brazos Project
The Brazos Project is a large-scale horizontal development in the Strawn Formation on the Eastern Shelf of the Midland Basin in Texas. Built on modern geological interpretation, the project targets the Strawn A, B, and C carbonate reef and reef-margin intervals, where historical production and recent horizontal results have outperformed conventional deltaic sand targets. The development plan includes 54 horizontal wells designed to capture stacked pay potential across multiple intervals in a proven, repeatable, oil-prone fairway.

Projects Selection
Project selection begins with our invaluable network, built through decades of experience among 1901 Petroleum’s principal partners in the oil and gas industry. Once a potential opportunity is identified, we apply a rigorous, multi-step evaluation process that examines geology, projected economics, development strategy, capital structure, financing, and overall risk. Only projects that meet our operational and financial standards advance for further consideration.
